Great Ways to Spread Inspiration and Transformation

What exciting times we live in! For those who doubt that major transformational shifts are taking place around the world, watch the amazingly inspiring six-minute video "Blessed Unrest" at this link. Yet there is still much to be done. You can very much help to spread the inspiration with PEERS and our websites dedicated to personal and global transformation through love, healing, and empowerment.

PEERS is playing a major role in spreading inspiration and education around the world. With over 9,000 caring individuals from 120 countries now subscribed to our email list, and with a total to all of our websites of more than 1.5 million visits in the last year and over 5 million visits from virtually every country since 2003, the PEERS websites are having a wonderful impact in opening the minds and hearts of people around the globe. Below are several great ideas on how you can help us to further spread the inspiration and transformation.

Thanks to the amazing capabilities of the Internet, we now have an easy way for you to share inspiration from our websites by using Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and many other social networking websites. You can now find a "Share This Page" link on many of our websites at both the top left and the very bottom of every webpage, and also a "Share" link at the top and bottom of every email message.

When you click on the "Share This Page" link on the websites, a box pops up offering numerous choices to spread the inspiration to many others. In our emails, clicking the "Share" link takes you to a webpage listing dozens of places to spread the word, including Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. If you are willing to sign up free on major websites like Digg, Reddit, and StumbleUpon, you can also use these share links to promote transformation on these popular social networking websites.

I invite you to sign up for one or more of these websites and start out by promoting one of our home pages. To do this, simply go to the "Share This Page" link at the top left of the home page of your favorite PEERS website, click one of the choices there, go through the quick sign up process, and write a brief comment in support of that home page. If you really want to make a difference, go to some of our other webpages that you feel are most inspiring and do the same. As these websites are ranked very high on search engines, your recommendation there not only informs other readers, it improves our ranking on Google, Yahoo, and other search engines.

Another very important, yet easy way you can support our work is through using our new amazon.com link. Amazon.com has a great program where PEERS can earn a percentage of anything you buy there without costing you anything extra. Simply by entering the amazon.com website using a link with a code in the URL identifying that we referred you, PEERS gets 4 to 8% of the sale. If you shop at amazon.com and want to support us at no extra cost to yourself, please bookmark or favorite the webpage URL below and use it any time you want to search for and purchase something on amazon.com

As long as you start at the amazon.com search page at the link above, you can search for anything and add any number of items to your cart and PEERS will automatically receive a percentage of the total purchase price. Note that you will not receive notification of this. What a great way for you to support us without spending anything extra! Though we continue to have great success in spreading inspiration, this has been a rough year financially for PEERS. Likely because of the economic challenges many of us are facing, we've received only 60% of the amount of donations we had at this time last year. We've managed to cut back on expenses to keep from going in the red, yet we greatly appreciate any amount you might like to contribute to this worthy cause. Even a $5.00 donation makes a difference.

You may not know that as the founder and executive director of PEERS, I've worked an average of 40 hours a week or more on the PEERS websites for seven years now as a volunteer. Though we pay two people for their excellent work on our websites, we've never made enough money to pay me, and I've been willing to live off my savings and the small amounts I get from occasional private interpreting gigs. I do this because I so believe in this inspiring work and want to make it available free and without advertising to everyone.

In order to do this transformational work, several years ago I sold my car, stopped my health insurance, and cut back on my expenses to about $1,200 per month. I rent a room in a house with five other adults and a wonderful seven-year old boy to keep my costs down. I've had to draw down on my savings to keep going, but can't do this indefinitely. I am hoping at some point to be able to get paid for this work, but as we depend almost entirely on donations, it all depends on your generosity. Please help us to continue this most inspiring, meaningful work.
