universal children's day - blessing for street children

This coming Thursday, November 20, 2014  is Universal Children’s Day, and as a volunteer court appointed special advocate GAL for neglected and abused children, the suffering of millions of children is something I deeply care about.   On November 20 especially, I would encourage everyone to bless all the children in the world who need our love and support:  the neglected and abused ones, those who are refugees or homeless because of conflicts or natural disasters, the millions who are victims of trafficking for illegal labor of prostitution, the estimated 250,000  lured or forced into military service, and the millions of who to bed hungry at night  - including here in the USA. The link below will take you to a special blessing for street children (an estimated 150 million of them, and some statistics are even higher!)

Blessing is a powerful tool (and prayer) that can change attitudes and lives, including that of the sender!  When you bless, according to the author of The Gentle Art of Blessing, you “acknowledge the omnipresent, universal beauty hidden from material eyes … for the material senses present but the inverted image of the ultimate splendor and perfection that only the inner eye beholds.”

Please  click on the link below and ponder Pierre Pradervand’s  beautiful  blessing for street children, and ask your friends to do the same.  Every action begins with a thought or an intention. Thank you!
